Jun 28, Sara rated it it was ok. Taryn, a tavern owner in a small town in Rhode Island, meets Ryan, a hot, famous movie star, when he’s fleeing from fans and happens to run into her door to hide. Taryn’s inner monologue, constantly harping on how beautiful Ryan is, and how he’ll surely leave her for some actress, became repetitive and boring as well. I read this novel three days ago, and I could unscrupted pick it back up again to re-read!

Both have pain in their respective romantic pasts, and as a hot, famous movie star, Ryan is also always wondering if the person showing interest in him does so out of genuine attraction for who he really is, or out of greed for the fame he brings into the relationship. I don’t want to know Ryan’s schedule. Taryn and Ryan are authentic, relatable, amazing characters. I’m a fast reader, so fast that my seeming inability to make headway on this story is actually confusing to me. Did reading them make you want to do an ear tuck on Jim?
Made it to the end. This is not a quick and fast read. Withoutabox Submit to Film Festivals.
Taryn put the pieces back together though, and was content and happy just hanging out with her friends and running her pub. Reebr all three to Cart Add all three to List. I could overlook it once or twice but this is how they spoke throughout the book. The ending felt contrived.
