I liked the characters, so it was good to read and learn more about them. His arrogance was mostly gone, replaced with something resembling humility over his status as the Scion. But not so disappointed that I hated the entire book.

The only way I would have liked it, is if Ren had not died, and Shay nightshae to stay human.

Trust me, you want to read it. I felt like I was cheated with the answer to this question. It was a moment before I could shake my ruff, sending the past scurrying as I tried to focus on the present.

While reading this book, I came to realize that an author has an incredibly difficult job of deciding which characters to save and which to, well, not save. I mean love as in smiling the entire time through the book and stuck with your eyes to the pages. But in addition to the brutality, which always comes with nightshadr, Bloodrose is also beautiful and exciting and stunning.
