Basically, this book read like the rough draft version of a story, the kind scribbled in bits, pieces, and short hand on cocktail napkins soiled with spilled coffee. He takes me by surprise when he whips around, clutches my arm and backs me up into the wall, his cheeks flushed and red, full of rage.
She has two more novels in the works, as well as some film projects Overall, I loved it! Sometimes there’d be one that seemed clever, until the author continued it on for an entire paragraph killing it.
And when there is some original thought, it doesn’t connect with what’s going on and you have to pause and go ‘ Just wanted to put that out there for anyone wanting to read this or has read this. Jackson rated it it was amazing. Wow what a masochist am I? It’s poorly written, wrong words are used constantly, tenses change at will, there is absolutely NO character development, the plot doesn’t make sense, and- of course- the “heroine” I use the term loosely since she may lairen less likable than Bella Swann goes from hating Hades to being madly in love with him in about a second flat.
Even with the cloak up that Zeus had blocking that machine if that’s supposed to be the case, though it was never explained as such all Hades has to do is search for a girl named Persephone.
He actually seemed like one of the better gods to me even with his kidnapping of Persephone.
I didn’t really like how Hades was portrayed. Interesting take on the myth!

It belongs in the underworld. This was a really disappointing Greek Retelling, I was expecting so much more from this book. Yes, I think my relationship with my father would change depending on how Hades and I got along, too. That would be carbon dioxide. I desperately wanted to know what would happen next and to see how the relationship between Persephone and Hades would progress.
